How Do I Keep Spring Box Intake Clean

Spring Development May Be a Clean Water Option for Some Communities

Leap development as a clean water source may be an option when natural springs are located nearby.

A jump or seep is water that reaches the surface from some undercover supply, actualization as small water holes or wet spots on hillsides or forth river banks. (See too "Groundwater" ).

The flow of water from springs and seeps may come up from minor openings in porous basis or from joints or fissures in solid rock.

Gravity springs, which include

Artesian springs, which include

*Artesian fissure springs; and

*Artesian flow springs.

Depression springs  are formed when the land surface dips (forms a depression) and makes contact with the water table in permeable material. Spring Boxes

Horizontal Wells

Seep Evolution

If water seeps from the basis and covers an surface area of several square meters, a third method may be used.
